American Junto is a non-profit, education focused foundation of the Ohio Liberty Council.
The original Junto was a club established in 1727 by Benjamin Franklin for mutual improvement in Philadelphia. Also known as the Leather Apron Club, its purpose was to debate questions of morals, politics, and natural philosophy, and to exchange knowledge of business affairs.
Our modern equivalent, American Junto, seeks to educate and inform the public on liberty minded ideals, constitutional principles and common sense solutions. Much like Franklin's orginal group, it also serves as a forum for debate and education on a great many social, political and philosophical questions.
"A nation of well informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins." - Ben Franklin
